Festive Fun! ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽ„

In Nursery we have been having lots of fun counting down to Christmas. We have been taking turns to find the numbers on the advent calendar and our special helpers have picked out names from our special Christmas box to see who gets the treat each day. The children have been fantastic at waiting patiently for their turn, well done Nursery!

We have been busy making lots of colourful decorations to hang on our tree. The tree looks amazing covered with all our sparkly creations.

Weโ€™ve practised our cutting skills, cutting out our own little Christmas tree shapes and decorating them.

We have been learning how to sew using a needle and thread! We had to really concentrate to make our beautiful trees.

We made paper chains to decorate our classroom. We joined all our small chains together to make the chain longer and longer, until we had a big, long chain that reached right across the room! Super teamwork Nursery!

We found ways to be creative with the paper chain strips and learnt how to join them together to make ourselves some fantastic party hats!

We have drawn and made some fantastic reindeers, that look just like Rudolph, with his bright red nose!

Then after all our hard work we were very lucky to find some very special visitors in our Nursery garden! At our party we went on an elf hunt! We found lots of little elves hiding around the school who led us round and round until we discoveredโ€ฆ

Santa and his elf!

After we waved goodbye to Santa we had lots of fun dancing and playing games together.

We like parties and we love Christmas in Nursery and we would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas!

Nursery Nativity ๐ŸŒŸ

In a far away town called Bethlehem shone the brightest twinkling stars and many beautiful angels to help tell the story of the birth of the baby Jesus and why we celebrate Christmasโ€ฆ

Nursery looked amazing and thoroughly enjoyed performing on stage. Thank you so much for all your hard work and the wonderful costumes you provided to ensure your children looked absolutely fantastic! We sang songs both on our own and along with our friends in Reception.

The children worked really hard learning all their songs, as well as the actions and Makaton signs to accompany their singing. Iโ€™m sure they will be able to teach you at home some of the Christmas signs that they have learnt.

You were fantastic Nursery and Iโ€™m sure all your families will be so impressed with your performance. There wonโ€™t be a dry eye in any of your homes. Well done Nursery you have proved once again what singing superstars you are! We are so proud of you all! You deserve a standing ovation!

Wishing you all a big โ€˜Happy Christmas!โ€™ from Nursery.

Best wishes,

Mrs Farrington, Mrs Taylor and Mrs Fox
